New Tuesday Night CRC Pub Runs

It’s an exciting time in Chico with new running groups and events happening in town!

With that in mind, Chico Running Club is hosting a new Tuesday night pub run.
We’ll start at The Allies Pub (426 Broadway St Ste 130, behind Stoble Coffee) the first and third Tuesdays of the month starting July 2024.
Suggested routes will be forthcoming and will head into the park.
Distance will be 5M or 5K or choose your own distance. All paces are welcome!

We will have a few opening remarks and aim to kick off the run a few minutes after 6pm.
Join us for a fun run and a cold beverage on the shaded patio of The Allies Pub!

We look forward to seeing you there! Cheers! 🍻

👟This mid-week run is meant to complement our regular Saturday morning group run in Bidwell Park:

3 Favorite Running Routes- Lower Bidwell Park

Bidwell park is a runners dream- varied surfaces (road and trail), low traffic, and great scenery. Here are some favorites using Strava Routes:

One Mile to 5 Mile
Starting at One Mile/Sycamore Pool, follow the dirt/horse trail that skirts Vallombrosa. Turn around and run back down the trail to return to One Mile. Total distance, just under 5 miles out and back- a pretty wooded run, quite flat, no traffic. All trails- can be a bit muddy after winter rains.

CRC 10k/6 mile Loop
A popular route for our Saturday morning group runs, this route starts at One Mile, heads up the North side of the Lower Park to Hooker Oak Park, then over to 5 mile recreation area, and back down South Park Drive to the start point. Half trail/half paved.

City of Chico 5k Course
Practicing for a race or want to test your speed? The City’s official 5k route is just the ticket. Starts by Caper Acres on the South side of the park, loops up past Cedar Grove and then back down Peterson Memorial Drive, with the classic finishing leg of the bridge at Sycamore Pool. All paved.
