CHICO RUNNING CLUB RACES
Masters 4-Miler
The new date for the Chico Running Club’s race for the “more mature” crowd, the Masters 4-Miler, has been set! If you are 40+ years young, meet us on Sunday, May 5th at 8am at the Cedar Grove Picnic Area to race against your peers or just have fun running 4 miles in Lower Bidwell Park. To register for this local favorite race, click here!
4th of July
The 4th of July race was brought back last year and the community came out to enjoy a great morning running a 5k. We’ll do it again this summer and hope you’ll join us! Click here to register for the race. Below is a photo after the 2023 race – it was a lot of fun!
HOT Race Series
The HOT 5k Trail Series was created to help runners test and improve their fitness on a monthly basis from June through October. For 2024, we’ve talked about doing a single 10K race in the fall. Reach out to someone on the CRC Board or send us an email at Hothalf@gmail.com if you have any ideas and let us know what you think!
New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day “Races”
Plan to join us on New Year’s Eve at 5:30pm for a fun group 5K run from Wildwood Park to the green gate at Horseshoe Lake and back. It’s dark out there, so bring a headlamp or flashlight to light your way. The next morning, we will meet for coffee, hot chocolate and donuts and run another 5k, this time with a competitive edge, with our race timing clock running for those of you who want a challenge on the first day of the year! It’s a Chico tradition! 🙂
